Since 1989, the Foundation has grown its permanent, unrestricted endowment to more than $3,000,000. Unrestricted funds allow the Foundation to respond most readily to urgent or unanticipated community needs. These funds allow the Okoboji Foundation and its members to strongly support the community in good times and bad.
Gifts of all sizes make a positive impact – together we have made grants to the community of over $2,000,000 to assist 113 projects in partnership with 59 non-profit organizations. Voting Membership with the Okoboji Foundation is achieved upon making a contribution of $5,000 or more in a lump sum or a pledge over a period of time and provides you with an opportunity to give input on grant recipients and awards.
Donors may also chose to create donor advised funds or to make planned & deferred gifts to the Foundation. Should you choose to make a deferred gift, please direct bequest and beneficiary designations to: Okoboji Foundation.
